An Evening of P.G. Wodehouse
P.G. Wodehouse (1881-1975), beloved British humorist and novelist, poked fun at the British aristocracy and won fans around the world. On January 8, 2009, members of the local chapter of the Wodehouse Society came to the Sunnyvale Public Library to talk about the author and perform an adapted version of one of his short stories.
Speakers Edward Ratcliffe and Neil Midkiff start us off with a discussion of Wodehouse. The short story, “Lord Emsworth and the Girl Friend” (1928), was performed by:
Ed Ratcliffe as Lord Emsworth;
Missy Ratcliffe as Lady Constance;
Kerry O’Conner as Gladys;
Mark Baushke as Angus MacAllister and Beach (butler);
Neil Midkiff as the narrator.
